How buying works
The whole transaction in order: what you're buying, where the payment happens, when the file arrives, how long the link works, and what to do if any of it goes wrong.
What you're buying
A file, or a set of files, downloaded once. Not a service, not a subscription, not access to a platform. There is nothing to log into and nothing to cancel later.
Each product page lists the files by name and format before you pay, along with the software or account you need to open them. If a product requires a paid tool — a Canva Pro element, say, or a specific Microsoft Office version — that is stated on the page next to the price. Nothing here is DRM-protected or password-locked; once a file is on your machine it stays on your machine.
If you want to see the standard applied to the paid catalogue before spending anything, the Project Handover Checklist is free, complete and needs no email address.
Your order, before payment
Add products from the product page and they appear on your order. Everything on this site is a single-seat digital licence, so quantities are fixed at one per product and there is no quantity control.
If you add a bundle that contains something already in your order, the individual product is removed so you aren't charged twice for the same file. The order page tells you when that happens, and it re-checks on every load.
The price beside each product is the total you pay. Nothing is added at the payment step: no fees, no handling charge, no surprise line item.
Paying
Payment is taken on Stripe's own hosted checkout page. Pressing the order button sends you there; card details are entered on Stripe's page and never reach this server, which is also why there is no card form anywhere on this site.
Before that button, there are two boxes to tick. Neither is ticked in advance and both are required, and they are separate on purpose:
- The first confirms you've read the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
- The second is the one that matters legally for instant downloads. You are asking for the files to be made available as soon as payment is confirmed — before the 14-day withdrawal period has ended — and acknowledging that this ends your right to withdraw from the purchase. Czech law (§ 1837(l) of the Civil Code) only allows the withdrawal right to end this way if you actively ask for immediate delivery and are told the consequence first.
If you would rather keep the 14-day withdrawal right, don't tick the second box. An instant-download order can't be completed without it, so contact us and the purchase will be arranged another way.
What you ticked, the exact wording you were shown and the time you ticked it are recorded with the order and repeated back to you in the confirmation email. The full position is on Refunds & Withdrawal.
Getting the files
As soon as Stripe confirms the payment, the download appears on screen on the confirmation page. You don't have to wait for an email to arrive to get your file.
The same link is emailed to the address you entered at Stripe, along with the order reference, the itemised total, the licence that applies, the withdrawal record and its timestamp. That email is the record of the contract — keep it.
Some payment methods take longer than a card to clear. If that happens, the confirmation page says the payment is still being confirmed and shows your order reference; the download link is emailed as soon as it clears.
How long the download link lasts
The link is tied to your order. It works for 30 days and allows up to 10 downloads, which is enough to get the files onto more than one machine without leaving a live link sitting in an inbox for years afterwards.
When it expires, or runs out, or the email goes missing, you ask for a new one and get it: the re-send form on Downloads help issues a fresh link to the email address on the order, free, for 24 months after purchase. That is an obligation rather than a courtesy — if we couldn't re-issue, we would not have properly made the content available to you.
A link expiring is not a licence expiring. What you bought has no end date, and the files you have downloaded stay yours to use under the licence whatever happens to the link. 24 months is the period in which a replacement link is guaranteed — it is not a limit on how long you may keep or use the files.
So: download them somewhere durable rather than treating the link as storage, and keep the link to yourself, because it is tied to your order.
What the licence covers
Buying a file gives you a licence to use it. The copyright stays with us; the work you produce with the file is yours.
Which tier applies is stated on each product page and links to the matching section of the licence page, where each tier is written out as a plain "you may" and "you may not" list — including client work, redistribution, resale and AI training. It is worth two minutes before buying, particularly if the file is for work you deliver to someone else.
Refunds, withdrawal and files that don't work
Two separate things, often confused:
Withdrawal. For digital files delivered immediately at your request, the 14-day withdrawal right ends when the files are made available — that is what the second checkbox is about. If you have paid but the files have not been made available yet, the right is still live and will be honoured.
Faulty files. Statutory rights are untouched by any of the above. If a file is corrupt, incomplete, won't open, isn't what the product page described, or doesn't work with the software the page said it works with, you have remedies under Czech law implementing EU Directive 2019/770, and they last two years from delivery. The first step is a fix; where a fix isn't possible or fails, a price reduction or a refund follows. Report it as soon as you notice, with the order reference.
Both are set out properly on Refunds & Withdrawal. There is no separate "no refunds on digital goods" rule here, because that would not be lawful.
If something goes wrong
- Link expired, used up, or never arrived → Downloads help has the re-send form.
- File won't open → File formats explained covers what each format needs.
- Charged but no confirmation → contact us with the order reference or the email address you paid with.
- Anything else → support@digitalskylight.com.
The catalogue
Every page in it answers these questions again for that specific product — files, formats,
