What you need
Requires a free Notion account; a PDF reader for the guides.
Compatibility
  • Works on the free Notion personal plan. Nothing in the template needs a paid workspace, and no Notion AI features are used.
  • The Notion template is delivered as a private duplicate link, not as an importable file, so relations, filters and saved views arrive intact.
  • Duplicating adds a new top-level page to your workspace. It cannot overwrite or alter anything you already have there.
  • File contents are in English. Every property name, view and formula is editable; nothing is locked or protected.

03 Suited to / not suited to

Who this is for

Suited to

  • Freelancers running roughly three to fifteen live clients out of email, calendar and memory
  • People who tried a project tool, found it was built for a team, and went back to notes
  • Anyone who wants to answer "what did we agree, and has it been invoiced" in under a minute

Not suited to

  • Teams: there is no assignment, permissions or workload view, and adding them is real work
  • Anyone who wants bookkeeping, VAT returns or invoices that actually get sent

08 Questions about this product

Questions about this product

Will duplicating this overwrite anything in my Notion workspace?

No. Duplicating a shared page creates a new top-level page in your workspace. Your existing pages and databases are untouched, and you can delete the whole thing in one action if you dislike it.

Does it work on the free Notion plan?

Yes. Databases, relations, rollups and saved views are all available on the free personal plan. The only limitation you may hit is guest sharing, which is capped on the free plan and is not needed to use the kit alone.

Can I delete the sample records?

Yes, and you should. Six records across two fictional clients are there so the views are not empty on day one. Deleting them leaves the structure intact.

Does it track time or send invoices?

Neither. The Invoices database is a record of what you raised and what status you set on it. There is no timer, no bank connection and no reminder that fires on its own.

I already use a different client tracker. Is any of this portable?

The pipeline stage definitions and the setup guide are readable on their own and can be applied to whatever you already use. The databases themselves only exist inside Notion.
