What you need
Requires a free Notion account, or any editor that reads Markdown.
Compatibility
  • The Notion space is a duplicate link: five databases, one per phase, with owner and due-date fields and no automations.
  • The Markdown uses standard task-list syntax, so tick boxes render in Notion, Obsidian, GitHub, GitLab and most ticket systems.
  • Contents are in English. Every item is editable and phases can be merged or dropped without breaking anything.
  • No scripts, no macros, no protection of any kind on either version.

03 Suited to / not suited to

Who this is for

Suited to

  • Small product teams shipping something publicly for the first or fifth time
  • Founders running a launch without a marketing hire
  • Anyone who has discovered a missing asset on launch morning and wants that to be the last time

Not suited to

  • Teams wanting launch strategy, positioning or a channel plan — none of that is here
  • Enterprise releases with change-advisory boards and staged rollouts, which need a process, not a checklist

08 Questions about this product

Questions about this product

Eighty-eight items sounds like a lot for a small launch.

It is. Each item is marked as core or situational, and the core set is 41. The situational items exist so you decide to skip them rather than forget them.

Does it assume a particular kind of product?

It assumes something with a public URL, a way to pay or sign up, and someone who answers questions afterwards. Physical products and app-store releases have steps this does not cover.

Can the Markdown and Notion versions be used together?

They hold the same 88 items, so yes, but keeping both in sync during a launch is more work than it sounds. Pick one as the live copy.

Is there a rollback section?

There is a short one in the launch-day file — what to check, what to revert, who to tell. It is written for a website or a web product, not for infrastructure recovery.
